Pennsylvania High School Softball - Newport succumbs to Halifax

In Thursday's league test, the Halifax Wildcats (Halifax, PA) softball squad overwhelmed the host Newport Buffaloes (Newport, PA), by a tally of 17-8.

Next, the Wildcats clash with the Line Mountain Eagles (Herndon, PA) in a Tri-Valley test, on Monday, May 5. Halifax will attempt to advance on its 6-7 season record. The Eagles go into the test with a 9-7 record after their 15-0 league loss to Susquenita (Duncannon, PA).

The Buffaloes (2-4) will now prepare for their test against Fairfield (Fairfield, PA). The Knights go into the non-league test with a 8-10 record. In their last test, Fairfield was routed by Biglerville (Biglerville, PA), 17-2, in a league test.
