The crowd at Thursday's league bout between the Linden Tigers (Linden, NJ) and the visiting Hillside Comets (Hillside, NJ), observed Linden's softball team prevail over Hillside by a tally of 27-12.

The Tigers (2-2) will now prepare for their bout against Union (Union, NJ). The Farmers go into the non-league bout with a 6-5 record. In their last bout, Union knocked off Kent Place (Summit, NJ), 10-0, in a league bout.

In their next game, the Comets clash with the Rahway Indians (Rahway, NJ) in a UCC - Valley bout, on Thursday, May 8. Hillside will attempt to advance on its 0-5 season record. The Indians go into the bout with a 9-4 record after their 10-8 non-league win over J.P. Stevens (Edison, NJ).
