With the triumph, Homestead improves its record to 9-4 on the campaign. The Mustangs travel to Fremont (Sunnyvale, CA) to meet the Firebirds in a non-league challenge on Monday, May 5. The Firebirds go into the challenge with a record of 3-9. Fremont won 11-5 in their recent league challenge against Cupertino (Cupertino, CA)

The Spartans (8-9) will now prepare for their challenge against Los Altos (Los Altos, CA). The Eagles go into the De Anza challenge with a 10-9 record. In their last challenge, Los Altos held off Wilcox (Santa Clara, CA), 5-2, in a league challenge.
