The Kearny Kardinals softball team scored 15 runs and held the visiting Hudson Catholic Hawks to 0 in the Kardinals league win on Thursday.

The Kardinals now sport a 8-9 record. They put it on the line next when they host Somerville for a non-league battle on Saturday, May 3. Kearny will confront a Pioneers team coming off a 17-0 league win over Manville (Manville, NJ). The Pioneers record now stands at 11-4.

With the loss, Hudson Catholic moves to 0-13 on the season. The Hawks host Harrison (Harrison, NJ) to confront the Blue Tide in a non-league battle on Friday, May 2. The Blue Tide come into the battle with a record of 1-12. Harrison lost 14-7 in their recent non-league battle against Paterson Charter School for Science and Technology (Paterson, NJ)
