New York High School Softball - Somers can't get by John Jay

The John Jay Wolves edged the host Somers Tuskers softball squad by a count of 2-1 in Thursday's league challenge.

Next, the Wolves play the Grand Street Campus Wolves (Brooklyn, NY) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, May 2. John Jay will attempt to upgrade on its 9-8 season record. The Wolves enter the challenge with a 4-5 record after their 22-4 non-league win over Lincoln (Brooklyn, NY).

The Tuskers (8-3) will now prepare for their challenge against Walter Panas (Cortlandt Manor, NY). The Panthers enter the Section 1 II - C challenge with a 1-2 record. In their last challenge, Walter Panas was nudged by Harrison (Harrison, NY), 13-4, in a non-league challenge.
