The crowd at Thursday's non-league bout between the Rogue River Chieftains (Rogue River, OR) and the visiting Klamath Union Pelicans (Klamath Falls, OR), observed Rogue River's softball team get by Klamath Union by a tally of 5-3.

The Chieftains (6-3) will now prepare for their bout against North Valley (Grants Pass, OR). The Knights go into the 3A Southern Oregon bout with a 6-10 record. In their last bout, North Valley by Brookings-Harbor (Brookings, OR), 4-2, in a league bout.

In their next game, the Pelicans clash with the Phoenix Pirates (Phoenix, OR) in a 4A Skyline bout, on Saturday, May 3. Klamath Union will attempt to advance on its 2-10 season record. The Pirates go into the bout with a 11-3 record after their 15-2 league win over Klamath Union (Klamath Falls, OR).
