The crowd at Thursday's league bout between the Lakes Eagles (Lake Villa, IL) and the visiting Wauconda Bulldogs (Wauconda, IL), observed Lakes's softball team get by Wauconda by a tally of 7-6.

The Eagles (8-9) will now prepare for their bout against Grayslake North (Grayslake, IL). The Knights go into the Northern Lake County bout with a 13-6 record. In their last bout, Grayslake North tipped Grayslake Central (Grayslake, IL), 7-6, in a league bout.

In their next game, the Bulldogs clash with the Antioch Sequoits (Antioch, IL) in a Northern Lake County bout, on Tuesday, May 6. Wauconda will attempt to advance on its 5-20 season record. The Sequoits go into the bout with a 12-10 record after their 3-1 non-league win over Niles West (Skokie, IL).
