West Allegheny Indians (Imperial, PA) supporters left the game pleased Thursday as they saw their softball squad nudge the host Montour Spartans (McKees Rocks, PA), 14-7 in a league game.

With the triumph, West Allegheny improves its record to 12-4 on the year. The Indians host Union (Rimersburg, PA) to play the Knights/Damsels in a non-league game on Monday, May 5. The Knights/Damsels enter the game with a record of 1-0. Union won 18-0 in their recent non-league game against North East (North East, PA)

The Spartans now hold a 2-10 record. They play next when they travel to Chartiers Valley for a WPIAL 5A 3 game on Tuesday, May 6. Montour will play a Colts squad coming off a 7-4 non-league win over Trinity (Washington, PA). The Colts record now stands at 10-5.
