In Thursday's non-league match, the visiting Mt. Vernon/Plankinton Titans softball team scored a tight 7-4 victory over the Winner Warriors.
The Titans (7-1) will now prepare for their match against Viborg/Hurley (Viborg, SD). The Cougars go into the Class B match with a 2-6 record.
In their next game, the Warriors battle the Stanley County Buffalos (Fort Pierre, SD) in a non-league match, on Tuesday, May 6. Winner will attempt to better on its 5-6 season record. The Buffalos go into the match with a 0-3 record after their 18-0 non-league loss to Chamberlain (Chamberlain, SD).
