Putnam Clippers (Putnam, CT) backers left the game pleased Thursday as they saw their softball squad thwart the host New London Whalers (New London, CT), 21-5 in a non-league game.
With the triumph, Putnam upgrades its record to 5-4 on the year. The Clippers host Killingly (Killingly, CT) to play the Redmen in a non-league game on Monday, May 5. The Redmen enter the game with a record of 6-4. Killingly won 20-2 in their recent league game against Woodstock Academy (Woodstock, CT)
The Whalers now own a 0-11 record. They play next when they travel to Ledyard for a Eastern Connecticut - Large game on Tuesday, May 6.
