In Friday's non-league game, the host Brighton Bulldogs baseball team scored a close 7-0 win over the Huron River Rats.
The Bulldogs (18-4) will now prepare for their game against Franklin (Livonia, MI). The Patriots go into the non-league game with a 10-4 record. In their last game, Franklin nudged Wayne Memorial (Wayne, MI), 11-0, in a league game.
Next, the River Rats play the Trenton Trojans (Trenton, MI) in a non-league game, on Saturday, May 2. Huron will attempt to improve on its 11-11 season record. The Trojans go into the game with a 9-6 record after their 2-1 league win over Allen Park (Allen Park, MI).
