California High School Baseball - Point Loma nips Cathedral Catholic

In Friday's league game, the host Point Loma Pointers baseball team scored a close 5-4 win over the Cathedral Catholic Dons.

The Pointers (13-7) will now prepare for their game against Grossmont (El Cajon, CA). The Foothillers go into the non-league game with a 10-13 record. In their last game, Grossmont was tipped by Helix (La Mesa, CA), 10-7, in a league game.

Next, the Dons play the Santa Fe Christian Eagles (Solana Beach, CA) in a non-league game, on Monday, May 4. Cathedral Catholic will attempt to improve on its 20-3 season record. The Eagles go into the game with a 13-10 record after their 11-3 league win over Maranatha Christian (San Diego, CA).
