In Friday's league match, the visiting Maynard Tigers softball team scored a tight 7-2 win over the Clinton Gaels.

The Tigers (7-2) will now prepare for their match against Fitchburg (Fitchburg, MA). The Red Raiders come into the Midland-Wachusett B match with a 2-8 record. In their last match, Fitchburg was routed by Ayer Shirley (Ayer, MA), 15-12, in a non-league match.

In their next game, the Gaels battle the Littleton Tigers (Littleton, MA) in a non-league match, on Monday, May 4. Clinton will attempt to better on its 4-3 season record. The Tigers come into the match with a 1-11 record after their 6-5 non-league loss to Lunenburg (Lunenburg, MA).
