The Marquette Catholic Blazers baseball team scored 23 runs and limited the host Hammond Academy of Science & Tech Hawks to 2 in the Blazers non-league victory on Tuesday.
The Blazers (5-3) will now prepare for their match against Kouts (Kouts, IN). The Mustangs & Fillies go into the Porter County match with a 9-6 record. In their last match, Kouts ran past North Miami (Denver, IN), 11-1, in a non-league match.
The Hawks (5-11) will now prepare for their match against East Chicago Central (East Chicago, IN). The Cardinals go into the non-league match with a 4-10 record. In their last match, East Chicago Central was overwhelmed by Bowman Academy (Gary, IN), 13-9, in a non-league match.
