South Caldwell Spartans (Hudson, NC) supporters were pleased Tuesday as they observed their soccer team knock off the host Alexander Central Cougars (Taylorsville, NC), 3-0 in a league challenge.

Next, the Spartans confront the Ashe County Huskies (West Jefferson, NC) in a Northwestern 3A/4A challenge, on Thursday, May 12. South Caldwell will attempt to move on its 7-11 season record. The Huskies enter the challenge with a 5-12 record after their 4-1 league loss to Freedom (Morganton, NC).

The Cougars now possess a 3-15 record. They take the field next when they host Hibriten for a Northwestern 3A/4A challenge on Wednesday, May 11. Alexander Central will confront a Panthers team coming off a 1-0 league win over Watauga (Boone, NC). The Panthers record now stands at 14-4.
