Del Norte Nighthawks (San Diego, CA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting San Marcos Knights (San Marcos, CA), 5-1 in a league challenge.

The Nighthawks now own a 21-2 record. They take the field next when they host Mt. Carmel for a challenge on Wednesday, May 11. Del Norte will battle a Sundevils squad coming off a 15-10 league loss to Poway (Poway, CA). The Sundevils record now stands at 6-14.

With the loss, San Marcos falls to 11-12 on the campaign.
