The Mathews Blue Devils held off the host Lancaster Red Devils soccer squad by a margin of 2-1 in Tuesday's non-league match.
The Blue Devils now sport a 3-7 record. They play next when they travel to King William for a Tidewater match on Monday, May 16. Mathews will encounter a Cavaliers squad coming off a 3-1 non-league loss to Rappahannock (Warsaw, VA). The Cavaliers record now stands at 2-11.
With the loss, Lancaster drops to 3-11 on the season. The Red devils host Washington & Lee (Montross, VA) to encounter the Eagles in a Northern Neck match on Wednesday, May 11.
