Anson Bearcats (Wadesboro, NC) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Brevard Blue Devils (Brevard, NC), 8-3 in a non-league challenge.

The Bearcats now own a 16-7 record. They take the field next when they host Brevard for a non-league challenge on Tuesday, May 10. Anson will battle a Blue Devils squad coming off a 5-4 league win over Polk County (Columbus, NC). The Blue Devils record now stands at 16-7.
