Avoca Central Tigers (Avoca, NY) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Scio Central Tigers (Scio, NY), 6-2 in a non-league challenge.

The Tigers now own a 4-2 record. They take the field next when they host Bolivar-Richburg for a non-league challenge on Thursday, May 12. Avoca Central will battle a Wolverines squad coming off a 17-2 non-league win over Cuba-Rushford (Cuba, NY). The Wolverines record now stands at 7-1.

With the loss, Scio Central falls to 1-1 on the campaign. The Tigers travel to Campbell-Savona (Campbell, NY) to battle the Panthers in a non-league challenge on Monday, May 16. The Panthers enter the challenge with a record of 0-3.
