Spectators at Tuesday's league match between the Mt. Vernon Rams (Mt. Vernon, IL) and the host Centralia Orphans (Centralia, IL), witnessed Mt. Vernon's softball squad prevail over Centralia by a count of 13-0.

The Rams now sport a 14-11 record. They play next when they travel to Carmi-White County for a non-league match on Wednesday, May 11. Mt. Vernon will face a Bulldogs squad coming off a 5-0 non-league win over Johnston City (Johnston City, IL). The Bulldogs record now stands at 13-6.

With the loss, Centralia moves to 7-13 on the season. The Orphans travel to Murphysboro (Murphysboro, IL) to face the Red Devils in a non-league match on Wednesday, May 11. The Red Devils go into the match with a record of 18-12. Murphysboro won 15-4 in their recent non-league match against DuQuoin (DuQuoin, IL)
