Courtland Cougars (Spotsylvania, VA) fans exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Culpeper County Blue Devils (Culpeper, VA), 8-3 in a league challenge.

The Cougars now sport a 8-9 record. They take the field next when they host Eastern View for a Battlefield battle on Thursday, May 12. Courtland will meet a Cyclones squad coming off a 6-0 league loss to King George (King George, VA). The Cyclones record now stands at 3-5.

The Blue Devils now sport a 2-12 record. They play next when they travel to Warren County for a non-league battle on Wednesday, May 11. Culpeper County will meet a Wildcats squad coming off a 10-1 league loss to Brentsville District (Nokesville, VA). The Wildcats record now stands at 6-9.
