Honesdale Hornets (Honesdale, PA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Delaware Valley Warriors (Milford, PA), 13-7 in a league challenge.

The Hornets now own a 2-10 record. They take the field next when they travel to North Pocono for a Lackawanna 2 challenge on Wednesday, May 11. Honesdale will face a Trojans squad coming off a 7-3 non-league win over Whitehall (Whitehall, PA). The Trojans record now stands at 7-3.

With the loss, Delaware Valley falls to 3-10 on the campaign. The Warriors travel to Scranton (Scranton, PA) to face the Knights in a non-league challenge on Wednesday, May 11. The Knights enter the challenge with a record of 2-13. Scranton lost 5-4 in their recent league challenge against Valley View (Archbald, PA)
