Harlem Huskies (Machesney Park, IL) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Guilford Vikings (Rockford, IL), 1-0 in a league challenge.

The Huskies now own a 12-9 record. They take the field next when they travel to Jefferson for a Northern Illinois NIC-9 challenge on Wednesday, May 11. Harlem will face a J-Hawks squad coming off a 15-0 league loss to Belvidere North (Belvidere, IL). The J-Hawks record now stands at 4-10.

With the loss, Guilford falls to 5-15 on the campaign. The Vikings host Boylan Catholic (Rockford, IL) to face the Titans in a Northern Illinois NIC-9 challenge on Wednesday, May 11. The Titans enter the challenge with a record of 0-16. Boylan Catholic lost 7-0 in their recent league challenge against Belvidere North (Belvidere, IL)
