In Tuesday's non-league contest, the Lakeshore Lancers (Stevensville, MI) softball team overwhelmed the visiting New Prairie Cougars (New Carlisle, IN), by a margin of 13-2.
With the triumph, Lakeshore moves its record to 6-2 on the year. The Lancers host Niles (Niles, MI) to play the Vikings in a Southwestern Michigan - West contest on Tuesday, May 17. The Vikings come into the contest with a record of 1-2.
In their next game, the Cougars play the South Bend Riley Wildcats (South Bend, IN) in a Northern Indiana contest, on Wednesday, May 11. New Prairie will attempt to move on its 16-5 season record. The Wildcats come into the contest with a 7-12 record after their 23-11 non-league loss to Culver Academies (Culver, IN).
