The Madison Cubs softball team scored 18 runs and limited the visiting New Washington Mustangs to 1 in the Cubs non-league triumph on Tuesday.

With the triumph, Madison moves its record to 10-12 on the year. The Cubs host Lawrenceburg (Lawrenceburg, IN) to play the Tigers in a non-league game on Wednesday, May 11. The Tigers come into the game with a record of 6-12. Lawrenceburg lost 11-1 in their recent league game against Franklin County (Brookville, IN)

In their next game, the Mustangs play the Lanesville Eagles (Lanesville, IN) in a Southern game, on Thursday, May 12. New Washington will attempt to move on its 3-7 season record. The Eagles come into the game with a 9-6 record after their 11-1 non-league loss to Charlestown (Charlestown, IN).
