Mathews Blue Devils (Mathews, VA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad achieve victory over the visiting West Point Pointers (West Point, VA), 10-0 in a league challenge.

The Blue Devils now own a 10-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Middlesex for a Tidewater challenge on Friday, May 13. Mathews will face a Chargers squad coming off a 1-0 league win over King & Queen Central (King & Queen Court House, VA). The Chargers record now stands at 3-9.

With the loss, West Point falls to 6-12 on the campaign. The Pointers host Charles City (Charles City, VA) to face the Panthers in a Tidewater challenge on Thursday, May 12. The Panthers enter the challenge with a record of 0-6. Charles City lost 26-0 in their recent league challenge against King William (King William, VA)
