North Point Eagles (Waldorf, MD) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting McDonough Rams (Pomfret, MD), 2-1 in a non-league challenge.

The Eagles now own a 9-9 record. They take the field next when they travel to Leonardtown for a non-league challenge on Monday, May 16. North Point will battle a Raiders squad coming off a 5-1 league loss to Chopticon (Morganza, MD). The Raiders record now stands at 10-8.

With the loss, McDonough falls to 5-11 on the campaign. The Rams travel to Patuxent (Lusby, MD) to battle the Panthers in a non-league challenge on Thursday, May 12. The Panthers enter the challenge with a record of 7-10. Patuxent lost 13-0 in their recent league challenge against Huntingtown (Huntingtown, MD)
