Taft School Big Red (Watertown, CT) fans exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they observed their baseball squad overcome the visiting Kent School Lions (Kent, CT), 5-0 in a league test.

With the win, Taft School upgrades its record to 7-8 on the season. The Big Red host Westminster School (Simsbury, CT) to battle the Martlets in a Founders test on Saturday, May 13. The Martlets come into the test with a record of 10-5. Westminster School lost 4-1 in their recent league test against Choate Rosemary Hall School (Wallingford, CT)

With the defeat, Kent School falls to 1-15 on the season. The Lions travel to Avon Old Farms (Avon, CT) to battle the Beavers in a Founders test on Friday, May 12. The Beavers come into the test with a record of 11-4. Avon Old Farms won 6-1 in their recent league test against Loomis Chaffee School (Windsor, CT)
