Midland Timberwolves (Varna, IL) fans exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they observed their baseball squad hold off the host Stark County Rebels (Toulon, IL), 7-6 in a non-league test.

With the win, Midland upgrades its record to 5-21 on the season.

With the defeat, Stark County falls to 9-15 on the season. The Rebels travel to Wethersfield/Annawan (Kewanee, IL) to battle the Titans in a Lincoln Trail test on Thursday, May 11. The Titans come into the test with a record of 15-8. Wethersfield/Annawan lost 5-4 in their recent non-league test against Peoria Christian (Peoria, IL)
