East Rockingham Eagles (Elkton, VA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting William Monroe Dragons (Stanardsville, VA), 20-6 in a non-league challenge.

The Eagles now own a 14-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to Mountain View for a non-league challenge on Wednesday, May 10. East Rockingham will battle a Generals squad coming off a 6-2 non-league loss to Strasburg (Strasburg, VA). The Generals record now stands at 6-11.

With the loss, William Monroe falls to 9-9 on the campaign. The Dragons travel to Warren County (Front Royal, VA) to battle the Wildcats in a non-league challenge on Friday, May 12. The Wildcats enter the challenge with a record of 4-9. Warren County won 8-2 in their recent non-league challenge against James Wood (Winchester, VA)
