Appomattox County Raiders (Appomattox, VA) supporters were pleased Wednesday as they observed their soccer team knock off the host Dan River Wildcats (Ringgold, VA), 5-2 in a league challenge.

Next, the Raiders confront the Nelson County Governors (Lovingston, VA) in a Dogwood challenge, on Friday, May 12. Appomattox County will attempt to move on its 10-2 season record. The Governors enter the challenge with a 8-2 record after their 3-1 league win over Chatham (Chatham, VA).

The Wildcats now possess a 3-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to Galileo for a Dogwood challenge on Friday, May 12. Dan River will confront a Falcons team coming off a 6-1 league win over Altavista (Altavista, VA). The Falcons record now stands at 5-8.
