Bloomfield Bombers (Bloomfield, NY) backers exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Honeoye Bulldogs (Honeoye, NY), 8-2 in a league challenge.

The Bombers now own a 9-1 record. They take the field next when they host South Seneca for a Finger Lakes West challenge on Thursday, May 11. Bloomfield will battle a Falcons squad coming off a 11-0 league win over Naples (Naples, NY). The Falcons record now stands at 6-5.

With the loss, Honeoye falls to 13-3 on the campaign. The Bulldogs travel to Bradford Central (Bradford, NY) to battle the Braves in a non-league challenge on Friday, May 12. The Braves enter the challenge with a record of 2-0. Bradford Central won 6-3 in their recent non-league challenge against South Seneca (Ovid, NY)
