Spectators at Wednesday's league match between the Madison County Mountaineers (Madison, VA) and the visiting Clarke County Eagles (Berryville, VA), witnessed Madison County's softball squad tip Clarke County by a count of 4-2.

The Mountaineers now sport a 4-10 record. They play next when they travel to Strasburg for a Bull Run match on Thursday, May 11. Madison County will face a Rams squad coming off a 14-1 league win over Mountain View (Quicksburg, VA). The Rams record now stands at 14-4.
