Jacksonville Crimsons (Jacksonville, IL) backers exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad run past the host Decatur Eisenhower Panthers (Decatur, IL), 16-6 in a league challenge.

The Crimsons now own a 7-15 record. They take the field next when they travel to Pleasant Plains for a non-league challenge on Friday, May 12. Jacksonville will battle a Cardinals squad coming off a 2-0 non-league win over North Mac (Virden, IL). The Cardinals record now stands at 8-12.

With the loss, Decatur Eisenhower falls to 4-19 on the campaign. The Panthers host Sacred Heart-Griffin (Springfield, IL) to battle the Cyclones in a Central State Eight challenge on Saturday, May 13. The Cyclones enter the challenge with a record of 8-20. Sacred Heart-Griffin lost 6-5 in their recent non-league challenge against Quincy (Quincy, IL)
