Jefferson J-Hawks (Rockford, IL) backers exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad run past the host Rockford East E-Rabs (Rockford, IL), 21-6 in a league challenge.

The J-Hawks now own a 2-14 record. They take the field next when they host Hononegah for a Northern Illinois NIC-9 challenge on Thursday, May 11. Jefferson will battle a Indians squad coming off a 22-1 league win over Boylan Catholic (Rockford, IL). The Indians record now stands at 19-5.

With the loss, Rockford East falls to 0-16 on the campaign. The E-rabs travel to Lutheran (Rockford, IL) to battle the Crusaders in a non-league challenge on Thursday, May 11. The Crusaders enter the challenge with a record of 1-21. Lutheran lost 11-0 in their recent league challenge against North Boone (Poplar Grove, IL)
