Plainfield South Cougars (Plainfield, IL) backers exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad run past the host Joliet Central Steelmen (Joliet, IL), 16-1 in a league challenge.
The Cougars now own a 12-16 record. They take the field next when they host Plainfield Central for a Suburban Prairie - South challenge on Thursday, May 11. Plainfield South will battle a Wildcats squad coming off a 8-7 league win over Plainfield East (Plainfield, IL). The Wildcats record now stands at 7-16.
With the loss, Joliet Central falls to 2-18 on the campaign. The Steelmen host Romeoville (Romeoville, IL) to battle the Spartans in a Suburban Prairie - South challenge on Thursday, May 11. The Spartans enter the challenge with a record of 3-15.
