In Wednesday's non-league contest, the Ledyard Colonels (Ledyard, CT) softball team held off the visiting Killingly Redmen (Killingly, CT), by a margin of 4-3.

With the triumph, Ledyard moves its record to 8-8 on the year. The Colonels travel to New London (New London, CT) to play the Whalers in a Eastern Connecticut - Large contest on Thursday, May 11. The Whalers come into the contest with a record of 5-9. New London lost 26-2 in their recent non-league contest against Woodstock Academy (Woodstock, CT)

In their next game, the Redmen play the Plainfield Panthers (Central Village, CT) in a non-league contest, on Saturday, May 13. Killingly will attempt to move on its 9-7 season record. The Panthers come into the contest with a 9-6 record after their 17-2 non-league win over Putnam (Putnam, CT).
