Illinois High School Softball - Tri-City/Sangamon Valley bounces Nokomis

Tri-City/Sangamon Valley Storm (Niantic, IL) backers exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad run past the host Nokomis Redskins (Nokomis, IL), 13-5 in a non-league challenge.

The Storm now own a 17-3 record. They take the field next when they host Clinton for a non-league challenge on Friday, May 12. Tri-City/Sangamon Valley will battle a Maroons squad coming off a 6-3 non-league win over Eureka (Eureka, IL). The Maroons record now stands at 8-20.

With the loss, Nokomis falls to 12-13 on the campaign. The Redskins host Meridian (Macon, IL) to battle the Hawks in a non-league challenge on Thursday, May 11. The Hawks enter the challenge with a record of 20-9. Meridian won 6-4 in their recent non-league challenge against Maroa-Forsyth (Maroa, IL)
