St. Joseph Notre Dame Pilots (Alameda, CA) fans exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting University Red Devils (San Francisco, CA), 6-5 in a league challenge.

The Pilots now sport a 5-10 record. They take the field next when they host Making Waves Academy for a Bay Counties - East challenge on Friday, May 12. St. Joseph Notre Dame will face a Marlins squad coming off a 13-3 league loss to California School for the Deaf (Fremont, CA). The Marlins record now stands at 3-18.

With the loss, University falls to 6-9 on the campaign.
