The Hillsboro-Deering Hillcats crushed the visiting Mascoma Royals baseball team by a count of 8-1 in Friday's league bout.
The Hillcats now possess a 1-7 record. They take the field next when they travel to Newport for a non-league bout on Saturday, May 11. Hillsboro-Deering will face a Tigers team coming off a 18-2 non-league loss to Fall Mountain (Langdon, NH). The Tigers record now stands at 3-8.
Next, the Royals face the Fall Mountain Wildcats (Langdon, NH) in a Division III bout, on Monday, May 13. Mascoma will attempt to move on its 3-7 season record. The Wildcats enter the bout with a 8-2 record after their 18-2 non-league win over Newport (Newport, NH).
