In Friday's non-league outing, the visiting Newport Tigers softball team scored a nice 15-3 win over the Fall Mountain Wildcats.
Coming up next, the Tigers battle the Hillsboro-Deering Hillcats (Hillsboro, NH) in a non-league outing, on Saturday, May 11. Newport will attempt to upgrade on its 11-0 season record. The Hillcats enter the outing with a 2-7 record after their 13-1 non-league win over Mascoma (Canaan, NH).
The Wildcats (4-6) will now prepare for their outing against Mascoma (Canaan, NH). The Royals enter the Division III outing with a 1-9 record. In their last outing, Mascoma was routed by Hillsboro-Deering (Hillsboro, NH), 13-1, in a non-league outing.
