Lake Region Lakers (Naples, ME) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting Gray-New Gloucester Patriots (Gray, ME), 12-1 in a league challenge.

The Lakers now own a 4-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to Poland for a Class B South challenge on Monday, May 13. Lake Region will face a Knights squad coming off a 6-3 league loss to York (York, ME). The Knights record now stands at 4-5.

With the loss, Gray-New Gloucester falls to 0-9 on the campaign. The Patriots host York (York, ME) to face the Wildcats in a Class B South challenge on Wednesday, May 15. The Wildcats enter the challenge with a record of 9-0.
