Hillsboro-Deering Hillcats (Hillsboro, NH) fans exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad achieve victory over the visiting Mascoma Royals (Canaan, NH), 13-1 in a non-league challenge.

The Hillcats now sport a 2-7 record. They take the field next when they travel to Newport for a non-league challenge on Saturday, May 11. Hillsboro-Deering will face a Tigers squad coming off a 15-3 non-league win over Fall Mountain (Langdon, NH). The Tigers record now stands at 11-0.

With the loss, Mascoma falls to 1-9 on the season. The Royals travel to Fall Mountain (Langdon, NH) to meet the Wildcats in a Division III battle on Monday, May 13. The Wildcats go into the battle with a record of 4-6. Fall Mountain lost 15-3 in their recent non-league battle against Newport (Newport, NH)
