Lake Flyers (Millbury, OH) fans exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Port Clinton Redskins (Port Clinton, OH), 7-4 in a non-league challenge.

The Flyers now sport a 9-12 record. They take the field next when they host Otsego for a Northern Buckeye challenge on Monday, May 13. Lake will face a Knights squad coming off a 5-2 non-league win over Wauseon (Wauseon, OH). The Knights record now stands at 11-7.

With the loss, Port Clinton falls to 13-11 on the campaign.
