Warren Central Dragons (Bowling Green, KY) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Metcalfe County Hornets (Edmonton, KY), 9-8 in a non-league challenge.

The Dragons now own a 5-25 record. They take the field next when they host Grayson County for a non-league challenge on Monday, May 13. Warren Central will battle a Cougars squad coming off a 4-3 non-league loss to Sacred Heart (Louisville, KY). The Cougars record now stands at 17-13.

With the loss, Metcalfe County falls to 6-18 on the campaign. The Hornets travel to Fort Knox (Fort Knox, KY) to battle the Eagles in a non-league challenge on Monday, May 13. The Eagles enter the challenge with a record of 5-22. Fort Knox lost 13-3 in their recent league challenge against North Hardin (Radcliff, KY)
