St. Mary Gaels (Rutherford, NJ) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad nip the host North Arlington Vikings (North Arlington, NJ), 10-3 in a league challenge.

The Gaels now own a 13-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to Weehawken for a NJIC - National challenge on Saturday, May 11.

With the loss, North Arlington falls to 9-11 on the campaign. The Vikings travel to Bloomfield (Bloomfield, NJ) to battle the Bengals in a non-league challenge on Saturday, May 11. The Bengals enter the challenge with a record of 11-9. Bloomfield won 11-1 in their recent non-league challenge against Belleville (Belleville, NJ)
