In Saturday's non-league game, the host Owensboro Catholic Aces baseball team scored a close 1-0 victory over the Calloway County Lakers.
The Aces (17-11) will now prepare for their game against Madisonville-North Hopkins (Madisonville, KY). The Maroons enter the non-league game with a 17-11 record. In their last game, Madisonville-North Hopkins held off Trigg County (Cadiz, KY), 6-1, in a non-league game.
Next, the Lakers face the McCracken County Mustangs (Paducah, KY) in a non-league game, on Monday, May 12. Calloway County will attempt to improve on its 12-12 season record. The Mustangs enter the game with a 19-7 record after their 6-0 non-league loss to St. Xavier (Louisville, KY).
