The Dowagiac Chieftains baseball squad (Dowagiac, MI), was overwhelmed 9-3 in Saturday's non-league contest with the host Lakewood Vikings (Lake Odessa, MI)
With the triumph, Lakewood moves its record to 10-7 on the season. The Vikings travel to Waverly (Lansing, MI) to encounter the Warriors in a non-league bout on Monday, May 12. The Warriors enter the bout with a record of 8-4.
The Chieftains (4-12) will now prepare for their bout against Berrien Springs (Berrien Springs, MI). The Shamrocks enter the Lakeland bout with a 5-10 record. In their last bout, Berrien Springs edged Wayland (Wayland, MI), 9-5, in a non-league bout.
