Ohio High School Baseball - Northwest sneaks past Waverly

The crowd at Saturday's non-league battle between the Northwest Mohawks (McDermott, OH) and the visiting Waverly Tigers (Waverly, OH), saw Northwest's baseball team get by Waverly by a tally of 2-1.
The Mohawks (14-4) will now prepare for their battle against Oak Hill (Oak Hill, OH). The Oaks enter the Southern Ohio II battle with a 8-4 record. In their last battle, Oak Hill held off Eastern (Beaver, OH), 11-0, in a league contest.
The Tigers now possess a 9-10 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Wheelersburg for a contest on Monday, May 12. Waverly will confront a Pirates squad coming off a 9-0 non-league win over Chillicothe (Chillicothe, OH). The Pirates record now stands at 13-6.
