The Sharon Tigers baseball squad (Sharon, PA), was edged 8-7 in Saturday's league contest with the visiting Slippery Rock Rockets (Slippery Rock, PA)

With the triumph, Slippery Rock moves its record to 11-3 on the season. The Rockets travel to Hickory (Hermitage, PA) to confront the Hornets in a District 10 Region 2 contest on Monday, May 12. The Hornets come into the contest with a record of 5-12. Hickory lost 6-3 in their recent non-league contest against Neshannock (New Castle, PA)

The Tigers now possess a 10-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host Hickory for a District 10 Region 2 contest on Wednesday, May 14.
